With entry into the senior football competitions looming, Newcastle City Council, Stockton Junior Football club and other various sporting bodies from Stockton bounded together for a $1m project to improve the complex.

In 2012 Stockton made its return home, playing from Corroba Oval, which now hosts two top quality grounds, a new scoreboard, terraced seating area with hill for the main ground, and other improvements.
